If you have been to an IAR Capitol Conference before, you know what an energizing day it can be. Don’t be intimidated – IAR Governmental Affairs staff will brief you on key issues before your visit and will facilitate your 
conversation with legislators if you want the extra support.
In addition to familiarizing yourself with legislative issues, Capitol Conference is also an opportunity to make direct connections with other Illinois REALTORS® and local Government Affairs Directors.
What your day will be like:

Have lunch while IAR Government Affairs directors provide a legislative briefing including tools, materials and key messages you can refer to later.

In the afternoon, you will have three hours to compare notes and confer with veteran attendees and your local GAD. You will also have the opportunity seek out legislators you wish to meet.

Immediately following this visit, REALTORS® and legislators are invited to a reception at the Hilton Springfield for more networking and discussion.

By 6:30 pm, your whirlwind day is done and you’re on your way home to share what you’ve learned!
