Illinois REALTORS® officers and staff members are advancing policy advocacy and sharing best practices at the NAR 2023 Legislative Meetings, May 6-11, in Washington, D.C.

The meetings kicked off last Saturday at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, while the Trade Expo kicks off today. The meetings attract REALTORS® involved in association governance and those who volunteer on association committees, as well as Federal Political Coordinators (FPCs) and other members who communicate with congressional representatives on Capitol Hill. NAR estimates that 9,000 members and their guests will attend the meetings and 100 exhibitors will be at the expo.

Affiliate meetings will be held at other hotels in Washington, D.C., including the Women’s Council of REALTORS® at the Renaissance D.C. Downtown Hotel.

Scheduled highlights will include recognition of:

  • Chicago REALTOR® Frank Williams as a NAR Fair Housing Champion Award recipient,
  • 10 new RPAC Hall of Fame inductees and two previous inductees reaching new milestones,
  • NAR Member Engagement Liaison Michael D. Oldenettel,
  • Illinois’ 18 FPCs,
  • 10 Illinois members serving as NAR committee chairs and vice chairs,
  • 30-plus Illinois members serving on the NAR Board of Directors and
  • Region 7 Regional Vice President Ed Neaves.
