Illinois REALTORS® wants to thank member Mabél Guzmán for serving on the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) 2020 Leadership Team as Vice President of Association Affairs. The team has guided NAR’s strategic direction and policymaking for the last year.
A 23-year real estate veteran, Guzmán has been active at all levels of the REALTOR® organization during her career. She is a broker with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in the Chicago area.
Guzmán is a past president of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, a local REALTOR® of the Year and has served multiple terms on the Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors and as a chair and member of countless state association committees.
She has held various leadership roles at the national level, serving as a member of the NAR Board of Directors and on many committees, including chairing NAR’s Conventional Financing and Policy Committee and Student Loan Debt Working Group. Guzmán has testified about industry issues before U.S. House and Senate committees on behalf of REALTORS®. In 2018, she was the President Liaison for the Global Alliances Advisory Board and was a Global Ambassador to Brazil.
In September, Guzmán was honored as the 2020 recipient of the Illinois REALTORS® Distinguished Service Award. The award recognizes members who have demonstrated leadership at the local, state and national level who have worked tirelessly toward the betterment of the real estate profession.
