To celebrate Women’s History Month, Illinois REALTORS® and the Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR) Illinois are recognizing six women for their leadership in the real estate industry and in their communities.

The West Suburban chapter of Women’s Council of REALTORS® recognized Sheena Baker and Carrie Little of CarMarc Realty Group in West Chicago as well as Kathy Nosek of 4C Realty in Glen Ellyn for their leadership. The Chicago chapter chose Rebecca Thomson of Coldwell Banker and Nykea Pippion McGriff of Dream Town Realty, while the Fox Valley chapter selected Teresa Haisch of Chicago Title. Illinois REALTORS® joins WCR in saluting these individuals.

Sheena Baker
CarMarc Realty Group, Inc.
The top-producing broker for CarMarc Realty Group in West Chicago is a participant in the 2020 Illinois REALTORS® Leadership Development Program and is the Illinois REALTORS® State Legislative Contact for state Rep. Karina Villa of West Chicago. Baker is a former president of the West Suburban chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® and was its 2018 REALTOR® of the Year. She was named to Chicago Agent Magazine’s Who’s Who in 2016 and won the 2018 QCAAC Aspiring Entrepreneur Award. She’s the owner of Extend Your Styles Hair Boutique in Aurora and one of the founding owners of SMB Network (She Means Business). She was honored with a “She Rocks It” award in 2019.

Teresa Haish

Haish is the executive account manager and assistant vice president of Chicago Title. She is the communications director for Women’s Council of REALTORS® – Fox Valley and was the recipient of the network’s 2019 Strategic Business Partner of the Year. She was Chair Business Partner for REALTOR® Association of the Fox Valley (RAFV) in 2019 and an RPAC major investor 2018-2019. She received the RAFV President’s Award in 2011 and the Northern Illinois Homebuilders Association (NIHA) Associate of the Year nominee in January 2020 and the NIHA Al Bowman Award winner in 2012.

The managing broker for 4C Realty in Glen Ellyn has been a REALTOR® since June 1996. She’s a REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) major investor, a member of the Illinois REALTORS® President’s Circle and a 2019 graduate of the Illinois REALTORS® Leadership Development Program. She’s on several 2020 committees for Illinois REALTORS® and has served as a leader for the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®.

Carrie Little

Little has authored continuing education courses and uses her skills in social media, television production, editing, commercial real estate, residential real estate, marketing and business administration to help businesses and entrepreneurs succeed. She serves WCR as a leader on the national level. She is an RPAC major investor, a member of the President’s Circle and an Illinois REALTORS® Federal Political Coordinator for U.S. Rep. Sean Casten of Downers Grove. She’s a frequent volunteer at National Association of REALTORS® annual conferences.

She is the Immediate Past President for the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Illinois.

Thomson is the regional vice president for Coldwell Banker in Chicago. She has been instrumental in developing strategic plans for organizations throughout the industry and is nationally recognized for her work. She is a member of the board of directors for both the Illinois REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. She also serves on the REALTOR® University Board of Regents and the Women’s Council National Executive Committee. She served as the 2018-2019 president of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®. Outside of real estate, recently completed terms on the Union League Club of Chicago Board of Directors and the Step Up Chicago Board, which supports and empowers girls from under-resourced communities.
