NAR President Vince Malta celebrates with members of the Champaign County Association of REALTORS® on their recognition for meeting RPAC investment and participation goals at an awards ceremony held in East Peoria as part of the annual Illinois REALTORS® Public Policy Meetings on Tuesday.

On the same day of the association’s major REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) fundraiser and 2020 strategy session, Illinois REALTORS® took some time to celebrate three consecutive years of achieving National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) President’s Cup, from 2017 to 2019.

To get the Cup, Illinois met or surpassed nine RPAC fundraising and advocacy goals set by NAR including a voter registration drive, Call for Action support, RPAC participation and at least one percent of the members as Major Investors in the political action committee.

RPAC dollars support candidates for public office who support issues important to homeowners and private property owners.

“While awards are not the goal of RPAC fundraising, we are proud to be the only large state in the nation to achieve a three-peat of the National Association of REALTORS® President’s Cup,” said Ed Neaves, Illinois REALTORS® president.

Neaves thanked RPAC and Advocacy committee chairs for Illinois and NAR as well as local associations for their advocacy work over the past year.
