Illinois REALTORS® staff members adopted a Springfield-area family through Contact Ministries for Christmas 2020.
Staff collected donations, then shopped for a mother and her three young children before wrapping $1,600 worth of presents. The gifts were dropped off at the nonprofit Springfield shelter so the family remains anonymous.
“We appreciate everyone who helped us on this project, whether they donated money, bought gifts or wrapped presents,” said Brandi Moore, accounting/operations assistant, who helped coordinate the effort on behalf of Illinois REALTORS®. “Through their generosity, we bought everything on the family’s wish list and more.”
Contact Ministries provides food, shelter, clothes, financial help and life skills training to people in need. It is located at 1100 East Adams in Springfield.
