Illinois’ Division of Real Estate offers visual guide to real estate complaint process

REALTORS® who are curious about how the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s Division of Real Estate handles complaints against real estate brokerages can now consult the Enforcement Flow Chart.

The Division of Real Estate shared the chart with the Illinois REALTORS® Thursday. The chart answers a few frequently asked questions and is designed to promote a better understanding of the complaint process, said Division of Real Estate Director Kreg Allison. In fact, similar enforcement flow charts have been distributed to other real estate-related professionals licensed by the state of Illinois, such as appraisers and auctioneers. The process has not changed for consumers or real estate professionals.
