Illinois REALTORS® will head to Cannes, France this weekend to take part in a massive real estate conference called MIPIM.
More than a dozen Illinois REALTORS® will leave over the weekend to attend one of the world’s largest real estate conferences in Cannes, France.
The annual MIPIM conference attracts more than 26,000 people, including top decision-makers on development projects ranging from portions of cities to apartment buildings.
This is the fifth year Illinois REALTORS® has sent a delegation, and the association has a booth in the NAR Pavilion in the Palais Des Festivals.
Illinois REALTORS® created a stipend program which assists members with some of the costs for attending the conference, which begins Tuesday, March 12, 2019. The stipend program this year is helping 12 members get additional international real estate experience and make connections they might never otherwise make.
Illinois REALTORS® plans extensive coverage of the event, and there will be daily podcasts Tuesday through Thursday from Cannes with members.
MIPIM allows the association to market the REALTOR® brand and tell the story of why developers and investors should consider Illinois as a business destination.
