On Tuesday, Mike Onorato was elected to the Grundy County Board with 3,117 votes. The 2010 IAR President was the top vote-getter of six candidates running for three open seats in District Three.
Onorato, of Diamond, IL, is the broker-owner of Onorato Real Estate in Coal City. He previously served on the Grundy County Board of Review, helping residents resolve problems with property tax disputes.
An active longtime member of the Three Rivers Association of REALTORS®, which covers Will and Grundy counties, Onorato has served on countless IAR committees since 1993, including the IAR Board of Directors from 2008 through 2015. He was the 2010 IAR President, and also served as President-Elect in 2009, Treasurer in 2008 and Past President in 2011. He’s also served on numerous National Association of REALTORS® committees.
