Mabél Guzmán, ABR, CIPS, AHWD, a broker with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Chicago, has been honored with the Illinois REALTORS® Distinguished Service Award.

The association’s Distinguished Service Award is given to an Illinois REALTORS® member who has at least 20 years of service, has demonstrated leadership at the local, state and national level and who has tirelessly worked toward the betterment of the real estate profession.

The last Distinguished Service Award was given to an Illinois REALTOR® in 2013. The announcement was made Thursday during the Illinois REALTORS® Fall Business Meetings.

For the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), Guzmán has served on the board of directors and committees. She has also testified about industry issues before U.S. House and Senate committees on behalf of REALTORS®. In 2020, Guzmán served as NAR’s Vice President of Association Affairs.

“These last few years, she has risen in the ranks of NAR and most recently has served as the Vice President of Association Affairs under NAR President Vince Malta,” said 2020 Illinois REALTORS® President Ed Neaves. “She has counseled, guided and used her influence to ensure Illinois members continue to be involved and given the opportunities to lead NAR committees.”
