The Illinois Association of REALTORS® hosted a meet-and-greet event for new State Senator Neil Anderson of Rock Island (R-36th District), and welcomed Governor Bruce Rauner to the IAR building too.
The REALTORS’® event appeared to be one of the governor’s first as he attended a myriad legislative events held around the Capital City today. Members of the 99th General Assembly were sworn into office at noon today; 118 members of the Illinois House at the University of Illinois-Springfield and members of the Illinois Senate, including Sen. Anderson, at the Capitol Chambers.
IAR headquarters, at 522 S. First St., are located on the east side of the Governor’s Mansion, just across the street.
