REALTORS® who want to honor the memory of Parker Oldenettel can make online donations to the Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF) in his name. Parker, 21, son of Illinois REALTORS® Past President Michael D. Oldenettel, died May 20 in Lima, Ohio. Parker was a 2015 graduate of Jacksonville High School and a 2018 graduate of the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, where he earned a degree in Agriculture and Diesel Technologies.
Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with a funeral scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery. Read the full obituary.
Michael D. Oldenettel, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, is the managing broker for RE/MAX Professionals in Springfield. During his 28-year career, he served in numerous leadership positions for the REALTOR® family, including REEF president in 2007.
Donations can be made on the REEF website. REEF is the not-for-profit organization established to aid and promote the work of real estate education.
