Be prepared to encounter problems:
In the past few weeks, some licensees have reported being unable to complete their renewal online. It is possible that the online portal could be down from time to time. You can avoid problems caused by technical issues by renewing early. If you encounter a system error, try again a few hours later.

Allow for mailing time if you can’t renew online: If you have had a recent address or sponsor change, you may not be able to renew online. In these cases, a paper renewal application must be submitted before the deadline.Print your renewal on IDFPR’s website.

Double-check your contact information: When you renew online, make sure IDFPR has your current email address so that you will receive your license notification.

If you have questions: Contact IDFPR at (800) 560-6420.
