Illinois REALTORS® Bicentennial Task Force is excited to announce a bicentennial coloring resource is now available. This download will help you discover local history treasures found around the state of Illinois.

The coloring pages represent the bicentennial legacy projects undertaken by our 29 local REALTOR® associations to celebrate the 200th birthday of the state of Illinois. Each has “adopted” a local historic home, property or event to raise awareness for the rich history across the state.

Available to Illinois REALTORS®, member offices, partners and members of the public, this resource can be used in numerous ways to promote the state of Illinois’ 200th and raise awareness for our bicentennial theme “REALTORS® Working with Heart in Every Community.”

  • Individual REALTOR® office coloring contests or promotions
  • Local REALTOR® association coloring contests or promotions
  • Use at open houses, even just a few pages
  • Handouts at home shows or county fairs
  • Print copies to distribute to schools, libraries or YMCA
  • Share on social media
  • Use to help with project fundraising

Two years ago the association created the Bicentennial Task Force which is chaired by Dixon REALTOR® Vicky Turner. She said REALTORS® throughout the state were eager to play a role in the celebration.

“Our members could think of no better way to recognize the people, places and events of the past than by supporting the state’s historic properties in 2018,” Turner said.

On Aug. 26, the state association plans to open Bicentennial Plaza – A REALTOR® Community Partnership being built in downtown Springfield. The plaza is a signature project of the state bicentennial celebrations and is featured in the coloring resource.

The association is an official endorsed partner with the Illinois Bicentennial Commission, which oversees the state’s plans for the milestone birthday.
