The Illinois REALTORS® Relief Foundation (IRRF) has announced a new disaster relief effort, this time to residents of Stephenson and Winnebago counties who suffered damage from multiple tornadoes that swept through northern Illinois on April 17. The storm victims can apply for up to $500 in mortgage, rental assistance or unreimbursed losses directly related to the disasters (e.g. insurance deductible, home-related not covered by insurance) from IRRF.

Only one application is permitted per household. Get the application at: https://www.illinoisrealtors.org/about/foundations/irrf/

The deadline to apply for the Stephenson/Winnebago Counties tornado relief is July 23, 2026. More information can be found on the application.

IRRF grants are based on availability of funds and applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served based. IRRF has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to assist disaster victims in Illinois and other states.
