The Illinois REALTORS® Relief Foundation (IRRF) has announced a new disaster relief effort, this time for residents of Hazel Crest who suffered damage from a July 27 tornado that caused extensive damage in the south suburbs. The storm caused extensive damage to residential and commercial properties in the community. Hazel Crest storm victims can apply for up to $500 in mortgage, rental assistance or unreimbursed losses directly related to the disasters (e.g. insurance deductible, home-related not covered by insurance) from IRRF.

Only one application is permitted per household. Get the application at: www.illinoisrealtors.org/about/foundations/irrf/

The deadline to apply for the Hazel Crest tornado relief is Nov. 15, 2026. More information can be found on the application.

IRRF grants are based on availability of funds and applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served based. IRRF has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to assist disaster victims in Illinois and other states.
