Champaign REALTORS® blanket needy 324 ways

During November, the Champaign County Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) collected enough money and blankets through its Bundles of Warmth program, that members could give four times more blankets to community agencies than they did last year.

In fact, 324 blankets were donated to six agencies that serve people in need, says Jeffrey Barkstall, CCAR President.  Members of the CCAR Member Services Involvement Group made the delivery to those agencies.

“The bitter winter cold can be especially harsh on many individuals,” Barkstall says. “We wanted to do our part to provide those in need with a little extra added warmth this winter. In 2013, the association collected 75 blankets, so we were especially proud of what we accomplished this year with the Bundles of Warmth drive.”

CCAR officers include: Barkstall as President, Stefanie Pratt as President-Elect, James Waller as Secretary/Treasurer and Linda Green as Association Executive.
