Let’s recap the recognition some Illinois REALTORS® received during the year because of the significant ways they impacted their colleagues, their communities and the marketplace. And because we couldn’t fit everyone in one blog post, let’s start with REALTOR® Jim Kinney of Chicago.

Kinney, vice president of luxury home sales with Baird & Warner’s Gold Coast Office, served on the Illinois Bicentennial Commission during 2017. He was appointed by Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner and has been the association’s liaison to the state’s bicentennial commission and for the development of the Bicentennial Plaza in downtown Springfield. He’s helped craft the events that will celebrate the state’s 200th birthday, too.

The Chicago-area REALTOR® is well-known for his statewide committee work since 1993 and serving in a leadership capacity with the National Association of REALTORS®.

A 2012 inductee of the RPAC Hall of Fame, he was one of the earliest members of the Illinois REALTORS® Consulate General Liaison Program, serving as liaison to the United Kingdom, a position he still holds.

(This is the first in a series of blog posts about Illinois REALTORS® who were recognized for their achievements in 2017. Watch this blog daily through the end of the year for more success stories.)
