To celebrate the Illinois Bicentennial in 2018, the Chicago Association of REALTORS® is establishing a community garden to help local seniors, children, community members and refugees to grow and cook their own food.
Just a few weeks ago, about 50 CAR volunteers visited the site of the CAR Bicentennial Garden at Global Garden to prepare the area for spring planting. By partnering with the Peterson Garden Project, a Chicago-based non-profit organization that teaches residents how to grow and cook their own food, CAR hopes to create a lasting impact on Chicago neighborhoods.
