Spurred by presentations from 11 local nonprofit organizations, the Baird & Warner Naperville brokerage collected $10,500 in donations and pledges from agents at a virtual holiday party in December.

“Instead of our ‘normal’ holiday party, we turned to a virtual party/fun(d)raiser,” said Baird & Warner Naperville Managing Broker Bill Gill. “There were a number of volunteers from the office who helped put it together and it was an amazing event! I am so fortunate to work with a wonderful group of people so committed to giving back.”

Agents suggested nonprofit organizations that they had been involved with or that aligned with the values of real estate professionals, and Baird & Warner Naperville allowed each organization to explain why they needed support. By the time the event concluded, 55 individuals participated, said Gill. Each had the option to designate which of the nonprofit organizations would benefit from their donations. The brokerage offered to match the donations of agents who donated between $50 and $500.

Nonprofit organizations included:

  1. 360 Youth Services,
  2. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention,
  3. Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry,
