In June, Illinois REALTORS® will honor the accomplishments of members of the LGBTQ+ community.

LGBTQ+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer or questioning.

Here are four ways you can show your support during PRIDE month:

  • Join the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance. Expand your network and support real estate associations in Illinois like the Alliance.
  • Read about LGBTQ+ history. Find books about the Stonewall Riots, the assassination of Harvey Milk in San Francisco, visit the GLAAD and “Facing History & Ourselves” websites for more information.
  • LGBTQ crisis Intervention. As a result of young people struggling with mental health issues related to LGBTQ+ issues, communities are finding suicide prevention resources and more through websites and hotlines. Learn about the Trevor Project, oSTEM, GLSEN and more.
