Every year, Illinois REALTORS® sets meetings with every single member of the state’s congressional delegation.
It’s a massive effort that beings many of the association’s members to Capitol Hill and allows them to meet one-on-one with representatives and senators.
This year, the association’s members met with virtually every member of the Congressional delegation, and if they couldn’t do that, they met with key staff to get the private property rights message across.
The effort requires trudging through at least five buildings and dealing with the scheduling changes brought about by called votes.
On Thursday, REALTORS® visited the offices of U.S. Reps. Mike Quigley, Adam Kinzinger, Dan Lipinski, Randy Hultgren and Danny Davis. They also met with U.S. Sens. Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth.
