Illinois REALTORS® is urging members to follow safety procedures and review best practices after a man was charged with attacking a real estate professional Sunday at an open house in Tinley Park.

Stanley Keller, 50, of Hazel Crest was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, aggravated battery/great bodily harm and attempted aggravated criminal assault, after a real estate professional said she’d been attacked during an open house, according to abc7Chicago.com. She told police she felt a vibration in her back and then struggled with a man before escaping and calling for help, said Tinley Park Police Chief Matthew Walsh.
