On Dec. 8, the Heartland REALTOR® Organization donated more than 250 toys to the McHenry County Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive.
More than 100 Heartland REALTORS® and affiliate members brought toys to a holiday luncheon at Fire Bar in Crystal Lake. The toys were sorted, wrapped and then distributed to children in need throughout McHenry County.
In addition to the toy drive, more than $3,000 was raised for the organization’s REALTOR® Political Action Committee. The funds are used to help support local political candidates for office who understand and support private property rights.
The festive event allowed Heartland members to network with each other, said Heartland Association Executive Jim Haisler.
Heartland officers in 2018 include: President Kris Brown, President-elect Kathleen Ricketts, Treasurer-secretary Becky Kirchner and Immediate Past President Jacqueline Lechner.
