The 75-Hour Broker Pre-License Topics course is a mandatory component of Illinois broker pre-license education. This convenient online course from Illinois REALTORS® Licensing & Training Center allows you to study in the comfort of your own home.
If you are interested in obtaining an Illinois broker license, you must successfully complete the 75-hour Broker Pre-License Topics course AND the 15-hour Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles webinar or classroom course AND be at least 21 years of age in order to sit for the State and National real estate license exam.

- Your choice of textbook or searchable e-book – Modern Real Estate Practice in Illinois – upon checkout, CHOOSE ONE: Textbook (adds S&H + tax ) OR Searchable e-Book (no S&H or tax)
The course will cover information on real estate math, concepts, brokerage, real property, contracts, the Illinois Real Estate License Act of 2000, financing, property management, appraisal, use controls for government and private land, fair housing, environmental issues, closing, and the updated TILA/RESPA information.
The 75-hour course is a self-guided course with quizzes to show student participation and proficiency. You must score at least 75% on a unit quiz to advance to the next unit. You will be able to retake unit quizzes until you are confident in your knowledge of the coursework. As of January 1, 2018, online courses no longer require a “final exam” if the course includes interactive quizzes and Student ID is verified during the course.
Students must have the course at least 10 days before they will be processed as complete.
After completing this course, you will be ready to take the 15-Hour Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles webinar or classroom course.
Textbook: physical textbooks are sent via UPS on weekdays during business hours. The textbook is for those who learn best with physical materials.
E-Book: link and access code are sent electronically on weekdays during business hours. The e-Book is a paperless study option. It is uniquely portable for people who are busy and always on the move! It is searchable, allowing you to browse for select keywords. Please note: the e-book is for students who do not require printed materials. It is not printable.
Course Materials: You will receive a separate email from EIU including your login credentials for the course materials. This email is automated from EIU every 30-45 minutes, 24 hours a day.

Courses expire 180 days from the date of purchase. Students requiring longer than 180 days, but less than 365 days from the date of purchase are eligible to purchase an extension at the cost of $100.
