Volunteers with NorthWest Illinois Alliance of REALTORS® came together during REALTORS® Are Good Neighbors Week to make a real difference at Ken-Rock Park! Thanks to the dedication and hard work of their members, over 1,500 plants were planted as part of the watershed project. This incredible effort will not only enhance the beauty of their park but also contribute to the health of their environment for years to come.
Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® held an Accredited Buyer Representative course May 2-3 in Joliet taught by Lyn Madison. Members seeking this designation focus on working directly with buyer-clients at every stage of the home-buying process. They left understanding and able to demonstrate their value to today’s buyer.
On June 7, volunteers from Southwestern Illinois Board of REALTORS® and Habitat for Humanity worked hard cutting down trees, clearing brush and shrubs, and moving tree limbs to prepare a site for a future build.
Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® and the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Fox Valley held “Blueprint for Tomorrow”, their annual mayors' panel. Mayors attending the panel were Jeffrey D. Walter (Elburn), Mark Gaffino (North Aurora), Kevin Burns (Geneva), Lora Vitek (St. Charles) and Richard Irvin (Aurora). The sessions were moderated by Gianni Nieto, the current President of WCR Fox Valley.
Oak Park Area Association of REALTORS® had a great time at the 50th annual A Day in Our Village in the Village of Oak Park the first week of June! This annual event offers a wonderful opportunity to listen to music, and visit and meet with local businesses, non-profits, and all of the fun and interesting people from the area!
North Shore Barrington Association of REALTORS® Diversity and Inclusion Committee had a great turnout June 12 at their Out & About Pride Luncheon! Patrick Lynch led a discussion on inclusivity with the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance.
Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®' Young Professionals Network gave back during REALTOR® Volunteer Days. The committee coordinated a river cleanup with the help of Mainstreet Philanthropic Partner, The Conservation Foundation! Over 20 volunteers participated in the cleanup.
Heartland REALTOR® Organization has hosted several volunteer days with Habitat for Humanity of McHenry County this spring.
Champaign County Association of REALTORS® June 6 hosted National Association of REALTORS® Valerie Kendrick from the REALTOR® Center for REALTOR® Development to provide insights on the differences and value of designations and certifications. The CCAR YPN planned the event and MRED sponsored the food and drinks.
