IDFPR’s online Broker License Renewal portal is open for renewal processing.
Education requirements for broker license renewal are based upon the date you were first licensed as a broker in Illinois. Newly licensed brokers must complete post-license education courses. Subsequent renewals require continuing education (CE) courses.
When were you first licensed in Illinois?
If you do not remember your original license date, use IDFPR’s Online License Lookup.
You need to complete 30 hours of broker post-license courses by April 30, 2018. The courses include Broker Post-License Topics (15 hours) and Broker Post-License Applied Real Estate Practices (15 hours).

Guide to Broker Post-License renewal process:
You must complete 12 hours of continuing education (CE). The 12 hours must include 3 hours Core A, 3 hours Core B, and a maximum of 6 hours Elective) by April 30, 2018.
If you’re unsure how many CE hours you have taken, you may look up courses taken through Illinois REALTORS® using our CE Lookup. Only Illinois REALTORS® courses will show up in this search. Keeping track of your continuing education hours is a service we provide to our students.

You do not need to renew their license in 2018. No CE is required during this renewal cycle. You will need to complete 30 hours of Broker post-license coursework by the next renewal cycle deadline of April 30, 2020.
