Your education requirements for broker license renewal are based upon the date you were first licensed as a broker in Illinois. If you do not remember your original license date, use IDFPR’s Online License Lookup.

Brokers licensed on or after February 1, 2016 (but before February 1, 2018) must complete 30 hours of post-license education by April 30, 2018.

Brokers whose original license date is prior to February 1, 2016 must complete 12 hours of CE (3 hours Core A, 3 hours Core B, and a maximum of 6 hours Elective) by April 30, 2018.

Brokers whose original license date is after February 1, 2018 do not need to renew their license in 2018. No CE is required during this renewal cycle. You will need to complete 30 hours of Broker post-license coursework by the next renewal cycle deadline of April 30, 2020.
