Financial assistance for Illinois REALTORS® Licensing & Training Center real estate education courses is available through two sources: the Real Estate Educational Foundation and the GI Bill®.

Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF)

The Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF) is a not-for-profit organization established to aid and promote real estate education throughout Illinois. The Foundation, established in 1970, is supported through the voluntary contributions of those who recognize the importance of furthering academic experience and training in the real estate industry in Illinois. One of the scholarships funded by REEF is specifically designated for prelicense studies. The Illinois Education and Training Grant The grant is awarded to eligible individuals who wish to pursue a real estate degree or license in the state of Illinois. Application materials for this grant must be submitted at least two weeks prior to enrolling in an Illinois REALTORS® 75-hour pre-license topics course, 90-hour pre-license package, or 90-hour accelerated pre-license package.

GI Bill® Tuition Reimbursement

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and is a tuition reimbursement initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Under the guidelines, GI Bill® benefits may be applied to Illinois REALTORS® pre-license classroom courses (live classroom training only). Qualified veterans must pay all tuition costs upfront to the branch providing the live training and will receive reimbursement if approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
