How we communicate with the consumer, agents and our clients has changed. The telephone and face to face was our primary form of communication. Today consumers, managing brokers, brokers, & clients can meet face to face online, respond via text, social media, via blogs and email. Are we storing client information in a secure format? Do you know who has access to your files? With the shift in marketing, document storage & how we communicate, it is important for real estate agents to understand their responsibility to their clients and the public. There are many “Social Media Posts that can get an agent in Trouble” per REALTOR® Magazine. There is a misconception that social posts are private. If you post it, expect that someone else will see it, read it, take a screen shot, and or share it.
