Victims of the April 9 tornadoes that struck Illinois can still use the help of Illinois REALTORS® like you.

You can make a donation or you can help a victim get assistance by directing them to apply for financial assistance through the Illinois REALTORS® Relief Foundation. Assistance is available to qualified applicants for documented housing needs, other living needs and employment. Relief assistance is limited to $500 per application, and the deadline is July 1, 2015. The IAR Fund is needs-based, and other forms of assistance may be taken into account. A special IAR committee reviews the applications.

Use the IAR form.

In addition, the National Association of REALTORS® grants one-time disbursements to individual households up to $1,500 through the NAR REALTORS® Relief Foundation. Relief is for one month of housing assistance. The assistance can go toward a mortgage payment of the primary residence damaged by a tornado. Or, it can go toward the cost of temporary shelter due to displacement from a tornado.

Use the NAR form to apply.
