Around 100 REALTORS® from the Bloomington-Normal area gathered Thursday to discuss a variety of real estate legal issues courtesy of the Illinois REALTORS® House Counsel program.

Among the topics covered were smart home technology and surveillance as well as service and emotional support animals by General Counsel Betsy Urbance and Associate General Counsel Jeff Baker. The two discussed important and popular legal topics that arise on the Illinois REALTORS® Legal Hotline and provided news about Illinois real estate license legislation and rules status.

The Bloomington-Normal Association of REALTORS® (BNAR) hosted the program. BNAR is led by President Danell Moberly of Keller Williams Bloomington, President-Elect Penny Wilson of Coldwell Banker Bloomington, Treasurer Brandon Shaffer of Berkshire Hathaway Bloomington, Immediate Past President John Armstrong of RE/MAX Rising Bloomington and BNAR CEO Diane Cote.

REALTORS® who can fill a room with at least 100 attendees can schedule a visit from the House Counsel program by contacting the legal team at 217-529-2600.
