The state has extended the deadline to Oct. 4, 2012, for Illinois licensed real estate marketing firms to submit bids to provide real estate sales and marketing services to developers for the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s (IHDA) Illinois Building Blocks Pilot Program.

The building blocks program targets vacant and foreclosed properties in six communities in south and west Cook County: Berwyn, Chicago Heights, Maywood, Park Forest, Riverdale, and South Holland.  IHDA will work with municipalities and selected developers to rehabilitate and then sell 15 single-family, real estate owned (REO) properties in each community, with the exception of Riverdale.

IHDA is seeking proposals from Illinois licensed real estate brokers interested in providing sales and marketing services for IHDA-approved developers. The firm(s) selected will work directly with the developer on a contractual basis. The firm can apply for more than one community and will be evaluated separately for each community.

Find a copy of the proposal and read it thoroughly and know the parameters and qualifications of the program and discuss with your managing broker before you apply.

The Request For Proposal (RFP)  is also available on the Illinois Procurement Bulletin (IPB) Reference #22028612.  IHDA also cautions that it’s imperative that you register on the IPB so that if the Addendum and follow up notices change, regarding this solicitation, you will automatically receive an e-mail notifying you of such.
