Social media: How do you measure up?

As more Illinois REALTORS® jump into social media and all that it has to offer, they may be wondering if there is a way to gauge which online efforts are working and which need tweaking.

As Illinois REALTOR® Rich Rogala points out in “Measuring Your Social Media Mojo,” in the April issue of Illinois REALTOR® magazine, measuring your social media presence isn’t an exact science, but there are tools to help you get a better idea of how you are doing.

A few low-cost tools to consider:

  • Klout – A free site that measures your overall online influence based on variables from Facebook and Twitter and gives you a score between 1-100.
  • Twitter Grader – A Twitter influence measuring tool that grades the power of your Twitter profile.
  • Clicky – Blog measurement tool that can help you track blog traffic, how long readers stay on your site, which search keywords they are using and more. The pro version costs about $60 a year.
