Today in West Accra, Ghana, real estate professionals are finishing their first day of the Ghana Real Estate Education Series, and a pair of Illinois REALTORS® can take satisfaction in the roles they played.

REALTOR® Vicky Sampah of the Abri Group Real Estate in Plainfield helped organize the four-day event as the NAR president’s liaison to Ghana, and REALTOR® Maurice Hampton of Centered RCG in Chicago served as one of the instructors. Hampton is also vice chair of the NAR Global Business Council.

The event began today with the first day of instruction for the Accredited Buyer’s Represenative (ABR) Designation course. Also offered was a course on the REALTORS® Code of Ethics. Tuesday’s course is “Understanding Global Real Estate Markets.” On Wednesday, the second day of ABR training is offered, while Thursday’s session is the NAR-ePro course, “Marketing, Technology and Social Media.”

The training is offered through IHC Global, a coalition for inclusive housing and sustainable cities.

Sampah is the Illinois REALTORS® Consulate General Liaison for Rwanda, while Hampton is the Consulate General Liaison to Canada.

Ghana is six hours ahead of Illinois.

Vicky Sampah helped organize REALTOR® training in Ghana, while Maurice Hampton flew to the African nation to teach classes there.
