Illinois REALTORS® is urging voters to re-elect state Sen. Neil Anderson of Moline, state Rep. Norine Hammond of Macomb, state Rep. Dave Severin of Marion and REALTOR®, Grundy County Board Member Mike Onorato of Coal City on Nov. 6.

Anderson and Onorato have been identified as REALTOR® Champions by RPAC Trustees because they back policies promoting economic growth and lower taxes, and are considered pro-businesses and pro-private property rights. The association encourages REALTORS® who live in their districts to vote for these candidates. Read about these candidates and others here.

In addition, Anderson, Hammond and Severin have received independent expenditure support from the Illinois REALTORS® Fund. A combination of campaign mail, live phone calls, automated phone calls and digital advertising has been used to encourage registered voters to support them. These ads have been designed and distributed without any coordination with the candidates or the candidates’ campaigns.

First elected to the Grundy County Board in 2014, Onorato is vice chair of the following committees: Elections, Tax, Technology, Education and Personnel.  Also, he’s a member of the Animal Control, Facilities and Land Use committees. Onorato became a REALTOR® in 1994. He is the managing broker-owner for Onorato Real Estate in Coal City. He was president of Illinois REALTORS® in 2010. He’s been involved on the local, state and national level of REALTOR® associations, having served as Illinois REALTORS® president in 2010 and three times as a local president in two different local associations. He estimates that he’s served on nearly all possible local and state committees since beginning his real estate career.
