In response to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is offering a limited number of members two months of around-the-clock telemedicine at no cost and continuing coverage at a significantly reduced cost.

NAR made the announcement Wednesday, saying that members who register for Members TeleHealth℠  before April 15 will be able to seek medical advice for a variety of non-emergency conditions by using its mobile app, video or phone. Examples of ailments that have been effectively diagnosed and treated through the virtual medical service include allergies, asthma, rashes, joint aches, flu and nausea.

Because NAR is only able to offer the service to a limited number of members, interested REALTORS® are asked to check with their health providers — including Medicare — to make sure their coverage has not been expanded to include telemedicine due to the coronavirus pandemic. Telemedicine programs will help Illinois residents honor Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s “Stay at Home” Executive Order and social distancing guidelines to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

Allowing more REALTORS® to sign up for Members TeleHealth℠ is one of several expanded benefits offered through NAR’s Right Tools, Right Now initiative. Members TeleHealth℠ provides around-the-clock access to non-emergency healthcare from more than 2,300 board-certified U.S. physicians.
