Illinois REALTORS® is urging voters to re-elect Rep. Peter Breen of Lombard, Sen. Michael Connelly of Wheaton, REALTOR®, Rep. Tony McCombie of Savanna and Sen. Chris Nybo of Lombard on Nov. 6.
All four candidates have been identified as REALTOR® Champions by RPAC Trustees because they back policies promoting economic growth and lower taxes, and are considered pro-businesses and pro-private property rights. The association encourages REALTORS® who live in their districts to vote for these candidates. Read about these candidates and others here.
In addition, Breen, Connelly and Nybo have received independent expenditure support from the Illinois REALTORS® Fund. A combination of campaign mail, live phone calls, automated phone calls and digital advertising has been used to encourage registered voters to support them. These ads have been designed and distributed without any coordination with the candidates or the candidates’ campaigns.
McCombie became a REALTOR® in 2003. She is a broker for Mel Foster Co. in Savanna and a real estate appraiser for Blue Appraisals. She’s a member of the Quad City Area Association of REALTORS®. She started her term as a representative in January 2017 and has the following committee assignments: Business & Occupational Licenses; Business Incentives for Local Comm.; Cities & Villages; Elementary Secondary Education: School Curriculum Policies; Tourism, Hospitality & Craft Ind.; Transportation: Regulation, Roads.
Breen has served residents of the 48th House District since January 2015. He serves on the following committees: Energy; Financial Institutions, Judiciary — Civil; Labor & Commerce; Public Utilities; Restorative Justice; Workers Compensation Subcommittee; Tort Liability Law Subcommittee; Real & Personal Property Law Subcommittee.
Connelly began his work in the 21st Senate District in 2013 after three years in the Illinois House. He is the Assistant Republican Leader. His committee work includes: Committee of the Whole; Criminal Law; Veterans Affairs; Telecommunications & Info Technology; Insurance (Minority Spokesperson); Judiciary; Labor; Subcommittee on Civil Rights; Subcommittee on Cybersecurity; Subcommittee on Auto Insurance Rates; State & Pension Fund Invest, Spec.; and Subcommittee on Business Entities.
Following three years in the Illinois House, Nybo began his Senate service in 2014.
