Sen. Michael Noland addresses Illinois REALTORS® at the event at Elgin Community College.

State Senator Michael Noland, D-Elgin, met with REALTORS® Friday in Elgin to highlight the importance of the Employer-Assisted Housing program and provide an update on the state of Illinois.

The Employer-Assisted Housing program in Elgin was coordinated and marketed in partnership with the REALTOR® Association of the Fox Valley, Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® and Heartland REALTOR® Organization. Illinois REALTOR® and Instructor Lynn Madison facilitated the one-day program.

A National Association of REALTORS® Housing Opportunity Program grant for $1,000 was awarded to the local associations to offset the cost of the program to membership. The city of Elgin was identified as one that would benefit from our REALTOR® members educating the local businesses workforce on the advantages of living and working in the community.
