Register now for the Sept. 17 REALTOR® Safety webinar led by REALTOR® and retired New York Police Department sergeant Dave Legaz.

Legaz will explain predatory behaviors and steps agents can take to reduce the likelihood of getting into an unsafe situation while on the job. The webinar is one of several resources offered year-round by the National Association of REALTORS® but highlighted during September, REALTOR® Safety Month. It starts at 1 p.m. Central time Sept. 17.

Legaz retired in 2002 after responding to the 9/11 World Trade Center tragedy and losing his partner. As a real estate instructor, he combines his years of law enforcement with real estate as he teaches Agent Safety classes across the country. He is the 2019 NYS Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) secretary/treasurer and was the 2017 Long Island Board of REALTORS® president.

He has been an NAR director since 2013 and a NYSAR director since 2012. Legaz is also on the board of directors of the Beverly Carter Foundation.
