Spending on multifamily housing construction of apartments and condominiums is growing, increasing 2.8 percent in July while spending on new multifamily units has increased 68 percent compared to a low point in 2010, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) reports. With demand also increasing for new home sales, the housing recovery appears to be gaining steam, NAHB said.
