In a recent guest commentary to The Rock River Times, Paul Arena, president of the Rockford Apartment Association, voiced concerns over a proposed ordinance regulating rental properties being considered by the city of Rockford. The group had worked with the Rockford Area Association of REALTORS® on an alternative proposal.

Arena said the group would like to see property owners afforded more protections including requiring the city to contact owners when a problem occurs and that a structure be put in place outlining what the owner will be compelled to do if there is a problem. Read the full article for more details.
