It’s official. Chicago’s South Side will be the future home of President Barack Obama’s presidential library, the Barack Obama Foundation announced Tuesday.

David Axelrod, a former Obama adviser, told CNN the “library would be a ‘wonderful asset’ to the city that would bring hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars in economic gains.” Read coverage from CNN, NPR and the Chicago Sun-Times.
