In January, U.S. home prices rose 12 percent compared to last year and marked 23 consecutive months of annual gains, according to CoreLogic’s latest Home Price Index, HousingWire reports.

“Excluding distressed sales, all 50 states and the District of Columbia showed year-over-year home price appreciation for January. Nationwide price growth like this should continue as the market comes out of hibernation for the spring buying season,” CoreLogic President and CEO Anand Nallathambi told HousingWire.
