If you missed the April 30, 2015 managing broker renewal deadline, your license has gone into non-renewed status.

You will be unable to practice until you have completed the required continuing education hours, submitted your renewal application to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and paid applicable late renewal fees.

Contact the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation to learn your options: IDFPR 1-800-560-6420 or [email protected].

You should not renew your license until you have met all of the renewal requirements. If you renew without completing the required CE, you could face a monetary penalty of up to $75 per three-hour course, or $25 per credit hour that you were deficient (e.g., deficient three hours, $75 penalty). Review the CE requirements for the 2015 Managing Broker license renewal.

IAR is here to help. Visit the Illinois Association of REALTORS® (IAR) website and the IAR REALTOR® Store for state-approved real estate continuing education courses.

If you have questions, contact IAR’s Education Center at 1-800-523-5077.

Waiting for license?
If you submitted your renewal application, but haven’t received your new license from the IDFPR, you can practice as long as you kept appropriate documentation:

  • Printed evidence you completed the required CE hours,
  • Submitted your renewal application and
  • Paid the renewal fee (postal receipt, cancelled check and confirmation page from online renewal).

The documentation will serve as proof of renewal until your information has been updated on the IDFPR website and you receive your license.
