REALTOR® volunteers work on a Habitat for Humanity home in Springfield on May 23, 2014. The home is one of three being built in the state. Next up is a home in Aurora beginning July 7, 2014.
The Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® plans a June 25, 2014, fundraiser to benefit a Habitat for Humanity home being built in Aurora.
MORe’s board also earmarked $7,500 to go toward construction of the home, which is one of three being built by IAR’s members this year to show the Power of R.
The event will be at the Fox & Hound in Aurora, and will be a trivia night fundraiser. More details are coming soon.
Work on the Aurora Habitat build will begin July 7, 2014. Volunteers or those wishing to donate to the cause can go here for more information.
IAR President Phil Chiles, who has a long association with Habitat projects, set the goal of building the three homes to show the power of being a REALTOR®. The association’s members have largely completed a build in Murphysboro.
