REALTOR® Nancy Koch of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group in Morton died April 19 after nearly four decades in real estate.

Koch was a managing broker for almost 25 years and was chair of Illinois REALTORS® REALTOR® of the Year Working Group in 2020 and 2021. She served on numerous state committees since 1990 and chaired the 1998 Convention Working Group, 2000 Professional Standards Committee, 2002 & 2013 Professional Development Member Involvement Group, 2005 Education Working Group and 2005-06 Education Review Task Force.

In 2007, she was named the Illinois REALTOR® of the Year, and in 2014 she graduated from the association’s Leadership Development Class.

In 2003 and 2004, she served as president of the Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF).

She served as the 1996-97 president of the Peoria Area Association of REALTORS® (PAAR) and was instrumental in the creation of the PAAR CARES Foundation, serving on its board for numerous years.

Koch is survived by husband Wesley Koch of Pekin, daughter Melissa (Nick) Georgas, son Jeff Koch, six grandchildren, two sisters and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private services will be conducted Friday by the Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Memorials may be made in her name to the PAAR CARES Foundation or the St. Jude Runners Association. Read her full obituary.
