Less than 25 percent of the legislation that affected private property rights or the real estate industry was eventually signed into law in 2018, according to the Illinois REALTORS® 2018 End-of-session Report. Members can login and view it here.

The 18-page report provides a summary explanation of more than 100 bills and amendments that Illinois REALTORS® monitored during Spring Session. Some passed in one chamber of the General Assembly but stalled in committee. Others were lost on votes. A few others passed both the House and Senate votes but were vetoed by Gov. Bruce Rauner.
