Illinois REALTORS® began streaming into Cannes, France, on Monday as they prepared to take part in one of the world’s largest real estate conferences.
Held annually at the Palais Des Festivales on the Mediterranean coast, MIPIM attracts property developers and investors from throughout the world.
This year more than a dozen members make up the Illinois delegation, one of the largest of the REALTOR® delegations participating at the NAR pavilion.
The conference formally kicks off on Tuesday, but NAR held an opening reception for partner associations on Monday night. Attending was Illinois REALTORS® President-elect Ed Neaves and Maurice Hampton, chair of the association’s Global Business Council.
The Illinois delegation will be spending time at the association’s booth in the Palais beginning Tuesday morning. The conference features a trade show and many breakout presentations, including a keynote speech by former United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
The conference extends through Friday. Illinois REALTORS® will have highlights from the conference throughout the week.
