The Illinois Association of REALTORS® was honored Monday for its work to provide members better access to advocacy information and political data.

The association was given a Game Changer Award for a soon-to-be-debuted database called Skylights. The database will allow IAR members to quickly find their political district, learn about issues that affect them and provide a means to getting members involved in calls to action.

The award and accompanying grant was one of eight awards given by the National Association of REALTORS®. More than 30 associations had submitted applications for the award. The award was presented at a luncheon at the Association Executives Institute held in San Diego on Monday, March 18.

The Game Changer Award is given to associations who come up with projects that further awareness of private property issues, political advocacy and which provide new approaches to engaging an association’s membership.

The award was given to IAR CEO Gary L. Clayton, CAE, RCE and Mike Scobey, IAR’s Assistant Director of RVOICE and Local Advocacy.
