Chicago voters in Ward 24 received IAR postcards urging their support for Michael Scott, Jr., as alderman in the April 7 consolidated election.

The postcards are titled “We need new energy to jumpstart Chicago – as alderman, Michael Scott, Jr., will provide the spark.”

As an area manager for the Chicago Park District’s Central Region, Scott oversees parks and has helped establish family programs and concerts. He is a results-driven leader who supports enhancements in:

  • Affordable housing;
  • Public safety;
  • Education; and
  • Economic development.

The mailing was funded through an independent expenditure by the Illinois Association of REALTORS® Fund. Independent expenditures are made in support of candidates, but without coordination with the candidate’s campaign.

IAR’s advocacy program is involved in independent expenditures statewide this year in the largest such local election effort in the association’s history. The Illinois Association of REALTORS® Fund is supporting a total of 31 municipal candidates in the April 7 Municipal Election.
